A Look Back At 2016

ChinUp Mask was born over a year ago but 2016 has officially been the induction year of the product. It has been such a big year for the product from new and improved packaging to countless blog reviews and awards nominations. I thought it might be nice to take a look back at what has been a sensational year for the brand...

January, February and March

At the top of the year, we made two beauty trade show appearances, both of which were well-received by professionals. Our stand at both the Irish Beauty Show and Professional Beauty in London garnered the attention of thousands of passers by, many even opting to stand for half an hour and try a ChinUp treatment when we ran out of seating. It was great to see first hand the effect that this product had on the public. Their results and reactions were that of shock, joy and eagerness to buy some to take home and show to friends and family. April, May and June

In June, we had an exciting appearance in OK! Magazine which saw them name us one of the 5 best at-home spa musts. It was a huge honour to be included in the list by the biggest tabloid magazine in the UK. ChinUp Mask also received its first ever award nomination in the CITY awards for our innovation in the cosmetics industry. We were nominated in the category Member's Choice Product which was then judged by a panel of experts.

July and August

Bloggers Ball

Following the overwhelming success of the UK trade shows, we couldn’t miss out on the chance to showcase our product overseas. We attended Cosmoprof Las Vegas with little expectations as we were completely new to the US market. It drew a major crowd over the three day event and caught the attention of hundreds of distributors and public figures. You can read all about the Cosmoprof North America show here We also attended a big blogger event in London to showcase ChinUp Mask to popular influencers from the UK. We spent the day talking to beauty and fashion bloggers about the product and offering them samples to take home and try for themselves. Following the event, we received a ton of great feedback on social media and some brilliant blog reviews. Find out more about the blogger event day here To round up a busy summer for ChinUp, we then made our American TV debut on KTLA 5 as an Autumn Beauty Must Have. Beauty expert and host, Stacy Cox showcased ChinUp Mask live on air, using the show's presenter as a way of exemplifying ChinUp being used. It was amusing to watch and again received some brilliant feedback online.

September and October

Then came the month of beauty awards nominations in the form of #beauty20 and Pure Beauty. ChinUp Mask was selected as a finalist for both UK awards in the categories Best Beauty Start Up and Best New Special Innovation respectively.

We also scored another major publication feature, this time in the Daily Express. Skincare experts Dr Aamer Khan and Lesley Jones chose ChinUp Mask as the best product to cure an ageing neck.

We couldn't agree more!

November and December

To round out the year, the closing months saw The Beauty Awards name ChinUp Mask 'Highly Commended' in the Best New Face Mask category. Being that this was a consumer voted awards, it was great to see that the support of our customers enabled us to walk away with that title after being only a year old.

We also gained another huge publication feature, this time in Stylist Magazine, who named us a solution to sagging jowls. Read the full excerpt here

Next year looks set to be even bigger and better, with trade shows around the world already lined-up and some big TV launches set in place.
